Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's a great way to show other people the books that you've bought or received for the past week!

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
I've been wanting to read Unearthly for ages - I've read nothing but good reviews for this book, so just imagine how excited I am that I finally got a copy! I'll probably review this next, so look out for that.

The Selection by Kiera Cass
I just finished reviewing The Selection, so feel free to check out the post right below this one!

Angel's Fury by Bryony Pearce
I have no idea what to expect with this book. The book blurb intrigued me, so I just went ahead and bought it - it's a bit cheaper compared to the previous books, so...

Ha, as you guys can see, I'm still trying to get the hang of this blogging thing. I know I sound a little awkward, but do hang in there!

    1. Thank you, Becky! I've been meaning to blog for a while now, thank god I finally found the time to do so! :)

The Selection's actually not bad - I guess some readers are just too used to thought-provoking dystopian books, and The Selection's definitely not that. Let me know how you find it.

      I'm starting Unearthly next!

  3. Unearthly was amazing and I'm really excited to start the Selection, since it's on my Kindle. I'm a new follower and welcome to the blogosphere! If you have any questions you can ask me because I definitely know what it was like to start blogging and I felt like a fish out of water for the first few months so now I've dedicated myself to making sure other people don't feel that way! :) I hope you have an awesome blogging life!

Have fun blogging, I'm sure your followers will start shooting up when you get the hang of it!

If you need help on blogger design and widget stuff, you can always drop me an email :) Lots of people helped me out this way at the start.

Psst, you can also get rid of the word verification for the comments system.

    Staying tuned! :)

    1. Hi Sel! Haha, thanks for the tip. I had to google just how I was supposed to get rid of the word verification system - thank god it wasn't that hard!

Thank you for the follow, the welcome, and for offering help (that's a lot of thank yous right there) - honestly, everyone's so NICE! Hopefully, I can finish setting up the blog in a few days or so.

Ahhhh yes, I've heard of Tucker Avery too. ;)

  6. Lyra, Looks like a great start into the blog world. I'm still kinda new too, but I love what I see. I read your review on the Selection and you pushed me into it, have to get it next time I order. I've heard great things about Unearthly but I've not had the time to sneak it in yet. Good luck! 10. Squee!!! I really enjoyed Unearthly and I just read Hallowed (it was SO good) and I did a review for it. Here it is: My Hallowed Review .
I have The Selection on my TBR list and Angel's Fury looks interesting.
I know how you feel about the new blogging thing. It can feel intimidating with all those blogs and reviewers pumping out reviews everyday and all their followers. I have a fairly new blog and I'm still getting the hang of it. So you have some company =) Thanks so much for passing by my blog and for following me. I'm a new follower too.
